All the organizations and teams deserve a huge respect (!) for working tirelessly during the lockdown days, with minimal resources, and still trying to meet the crazy project deadlines enforced by the pandemic.
It is to be noted that the design approaches, cost spectrum, development progress, medical grade certification, COVID19 functionality, etc. are all varied in the above projects. We believe that it is important for there to be multiple parallel efforts to design an emergency ventilator for COVID-19 as they will result in different solutions each with their own set of advantages. Furthermore, the need of a country like India is going to be far larger than what any single or dual approved source can address.
Note: We would like to cover all the ventilator development initiatives ongoing in India and serve as a common platform for hospitals, government bodies and other stakeholders to refer to. So, please contact us (covidindiaventilators@timetooth.com) if we are missing any other Covid India ventilator project. We would be glad to include it here.
